Dazed & Confused

It's overcast today.
I'm bleary eyed and not quite "awake" yet and this title seems to fit with how i feel seamlessly.
Equally this editorial from the magazine so named is exactly what I want to wear today - knits that are comfortable yet effortlessly sexy.

Birdy & Me

I simply adore sketches and illustrations, even little doodles on the corners of worn out copies and hidden inside little notebooks. To make it simple I can get lost in art. This is exactly what happened today. Sipping tea in a friend's house, I was completely sidetracked by the beauty and talent within a few sketches she had framed on her shelf.

The works are those of Kelly Smith, an Australian illustrator with the most beautiful feminine sketches. As a devout chronicler of fashion and style, Kelly's sketches are often taken from runway images to magazine editorials, each one expressing the personal style of the subject.

I absolutely love these...

Mulberry for Target

Here’s something my mother and I both agree with – we adore Mulberry. Far from someone to love designer clothing (and prices), my mother lusted over the classic Bayswater for years and was shocked to unwrap it as a special present one year. Now she covets it. It’s a style that can transcend all age groups and doesn’t look out of place in myself or my grandmother’s hand. (Luckily for me!)

Recently I was delighted to hear about their latest collaboration with US retailer Target. Well known for their previous designer collaborations including Zac Posen, Rodarte, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schouler, Liberty, Alice Temperley, Cynthia Vincent and Anna Sui, this will be headed by Emma Hill – the brainchild behind the now infamous ‘Alexa’ bag.

A clear Brit girl’s staple, in recent years Mulberry has attracted the attention of style icons such as Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss and Keira Knightely. Personally I cannot wait to get my hands on a piece from this collection as I can only presume it will be of Mulberry’s renowned high standards.

Summer

Once again I must apologize for my infrequent blogging. Fortunately I'm now on summer holidays and the world is mine (well for three months).

I still can't believe I'm a free bird and this is how I'm imagining my summer...

....look good to you?
